2Coco Before Chanel last NFS film before Christmas
Northumberland Film Sundays (NFS) screens Coco Before Chanel at Cobourg's Northumberland Mall Theatres this Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4 p. m.
Coco Before Chanel is a charming and intimate look at the early years of the iconic French fashion designer Coco Chanel. The film has spectacle, stunning period detail and an outstanding performance by Audrey Tautou (A Very Long Engagement, Amélie) as the headstrong title character. Without cliché and sentimentality, Coco Before Chanel takes the standard biopic and stretches it in new directions.
Focusing on Chanel's formative years before the First World War, Coco follows the fashion prodigy's movement from a orphanage all the way to the halls of Parisian haute couture.
